Reopening this bug, I thought it had already been reopened. Unless someone objects, I am going to add a symlink from /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIPCity.dat to /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoLiteCity.dat managed under update-alternatives. I will then consider the issue fixed from the point of view of this package. However another debian contrib package should be created for downloading and managing with update-alternatives the payed version of the database.
