So, I talked to upstream maintainer and he said that this issue should have been fixed in current 2.1.0 release, the one in unstable distribution.
So I'm tagging this bug report as pending, since once the migration from unstable will be completed the issue shouldn't be present anymore.
At that point, you should be so kind to report here if the issue still remains. If it doesn't, feel free to close this bug report or let me know to do so.
