where all these packages are results of the source package "nagios- plugins"[1]. > It would be useful if nagios-snmp-plugins were renamed nagios-plugins-snmp > for consistency. I don't agree here. The package "nagios-snmp-plugins"[2] has no (strong) relationship to the packages resulting from "nagios-plugins" source package, as it has a complete different code base. Renaming the package would suggest such a relationship and maybe also, that this will be a generic package with nagios snmp plugins, which is not true. > I recently wasted a little time by searching for > nagios-plugins-* trying to find the SNMP plugins. This is really easy to fix for example with: $ apt-cache search nagios snmp nagios-snmp-plugins - SNMP Plugins for nagios With kind regards, Jan.
