Please file a new bug against iceweasel for this one. Please also
attach the output before the SIGPIPE (which doesn't smell very good),
and possibly the output with NSPR_LOG_MODULES=all:5 (you can add
NSPR_LOG_FILE=/some/path to get that output to a file directly)

For your initial problem, can you try with upstream firefox to double
check (though I'm fairly confident this will fail the same way), and
file a bug on http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/, under Core, Graphics, and
add ":glandium" and ":bjacob" to the CC list on that bug.
