Package: lists.debian.org
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

Name: debian-services-admin

Rationale:
at Debconf we decided to create a "Services team" to group all the
people who maintain services such as, for example: mole, bts-ldap,
debtags, search.d.o, patch-tracker, minechangelogs, DDE, manpages,
DEHS, EDOS, PTS, db.d.o, mentors, nm.d.o, UDD, rapt-file, rmadison,
keylog, mia, echelon, planet, screenshot, distromatch, buildd,
bts.turmzimmer.net, cd building, ask.debian.net, DDTSS, blends pages,
popcon, PTS, DDPO, DDPO-by-mail, DDPortfolio, DACA, DEHS, DEHS, PET and
MIA, but there are likely more.

(you can guess that one of the first tasks of the list is to make a
list of what we have and who's taking care of it)

The intent of the list is to be a single point of contact for issues
with services deployed on Debian infrastructure. It is intended as a
reasonably low-traffic list where everyone who's working on any such
services hangs out. It can likely end up providing some support to
people working on new services, such as tips for deployment or help for
how to build on existing work.

Short description:
 Debian services administration

Long description:
Point of contact for issues with services, such as web services, mail
gateways or command line tools, deployed on Debian infrastructure.

It is intended as a reasonably low-traffic list where everyone who's
working on any such services hangs out.

The list can also provide help to people who would like to deploy their
 services on Debian machines.

Ciao,

Enrico
