Severity: minor
Hi!
The man page for btrfs(8) says just:
btrfs filesystem defrag <file>|<dir> [<file>|<dir>...]
btrfs --help tells us slightly more:
btrfs filesystem defragment [-vcf] [-s start] [-l len] [-t size]
<file>|<dir> [<file>|<dir>...]
Defragment a file or a directory.
Yet there is no explanation what the options mean.
RTFSing, I see that:
* -v echoes the filenames as they are processed.
* -c enables compression. Useful if the filesystem is mounted without
compression or the file was written with compression disabled.
* -f initiates a flush to the disk platters immediately.
* -s .. -l allow defragmenting only a section of the file.
* [not in btrfs-progs source, I only very briefly glanced at the kernel and
might have misunderstood this] -t considers fragments of at least the
given size to be good enough.
Also, it would be nice to mention that defrag doesn't recurse directories.
There is an ugly space separated from its paragraph as well, but this one
has been fixed upstream already.
