Would it be possible to transition libsigcx to build against libsigc++-2.0 instead of against libsigc++-1.2? It seems this would be of benefit from the standpoint of reducing the number of old libs in etch. I suppose that since you're using pkg-config, and therefore exposing the ABI of dependent libraries to all your callers, you may want to change the library soname in the process, though.
