Since version 3.7-2, the package has been restricted to Linux-based architectures. It provides a minimal boot environment for booting an installed kernel image in a VM. Should somebody want to work on patches that enable febootstrap (and ultimately libguestfs) on FreeBSD, I'd be happy to integrate them.
