Package: maildirsync Version: 1.2-1 Severity: normal Hi;
In release 1.2 the default for a command to invoke on the remote host is changed from "maildirsync" to maildirsync.pl . Since this file doesn't exist debian systems (and basically shouldn't, by policy), then anybody using maildirsync against a debian server has their setup broken when the client is upgraded. Of course it is pretty easy to fix, but still needs scripts to be adjusted. I don't really know the justification for the change, but I think it deserves at least a NEWS.Debian entry if you insist on the .pl ending. all the best, David -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages maildirsync depends on: ii perl 5.12.4-4 Versions of packages maildirsync recommends: ii openssh-client [rsh-client] 1:5.8p1-7 Versions of packages maildirsync suggests: ii bzip2 1.0.5-6 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
