Package: pgbouncer Version: 1.4.2-1 Severity: important When restarting, the initscript not actually wait for pgbouncer to shutdown first - it simply sleeps for 1 second.
If the process does take more than 1 second to shutdown, it will continue and try and start, which will fail as it's still running, leaving you without a running pgbouncer instances. You should really use start-stop-daemon's --retry argument for this.
