Mh. It’s pretty much against the point, to have being a buildd detectable, but you can 'test -f /CurrentlyBuilding' which catches most buildds and my cowbuilder environments (where the file was created manually). Better, probably, would be to listen to DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=quiet and you’d set that in your profile/pbuilderrc/whatever.
