Package: xmonad Version: 0.9.2-2+b2 Severity: normal When I start gvim in a terminal it locks up and I get these messages:
------------------------------------------------------------------------ E852: The child process failed to start the GUI [xcb] Unknown sequence number while processing queue > > [xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has > not been called > > [xcb] Aborting, sorry about that. gvim: ../../src/xcb_io.c:273: > poll_for_event: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ It happens with both xterm and rxvt-unicode. It does not happen with other WMs (e.g. Iceweasel). It does not happen if I start gvim from dmenu. I can work round it by aliasing gvim to gvim -f. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xmonad depends on: ii libc6 2.13-21 ii libffi5 3.0.10~rc10-3 ii libgmp10 2:5.0.2+dfsg-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.4-1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.0-3 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.1-3 ii x11-utils 7.6+3 Versions of packages xmonad recommends: ii libghc-xmonad-dev 0.9.2-2+b2 ii libghc-xmonad-doc 0.9.2-2 ii xfonts-base 1:1.0.3 Versions of packages xmonad suggests: ii suckless-tools [dmenu] 38-1 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
