Please remove the notify-osd dependency again. With a recent
gnome-notification-daemon, this is working fine again now without having
notify-osd installed. The bug was fixed in notification-daemon 0.7.1-4:
* Install autostart file for desktop environments which don't provide their
own notification system as notification-daemon is no longer started on
demand via dbus activation.
