Package: dnsmasq
Version: 2.58-2
Severity: important
Tags: ipv6
When starting dnsmasq on a testing system with ipv6 support, the following
error causes dnsmasq to be unable to start:
dnsmasq: failed to create listening socket for fe80::204:XXXX:XXXX:XXX:
No such device or address
This bug also happens in -1 and -2 as well. dnsmasq is trying to bind
to the link local address due to the:
interface=eth1
in /etc/dnsmasq.conf. When the interface option is removed, the error
no longer happens. dnsmasq works properly in 2.57-1 on the same system,
so this is probably either an upstream bug, or one introduced in a debian
specific patch.
