(This is related to #591225, but not the same.)
The default ferm.conf should probably have something like:
domain ip6 {
table filter {
chain INPUT {
proto icmp ACCEPT;
}
}
}
in it, to make sure router advertisements don't break if you install it
and enable the ipv6 support.
