Dear Maintainer, First of all, sorry for my poor English. This bug is not fixed in squeeze, either. Stopping a stopped bind9 outputs an error message "rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused". # /etc/init.d/bind9 status bind9 is running. # /etc/init.d/bind9 stop Stopping domain name service...: bind9 waiting for pid 4094 to die. # /etc/init.d/bind9 stop Stopping domain name service...: bind9rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused . The attached patch suppresses this error message. Please review it, and if satisfactory, consider including it in the package.
