Yes, I didn't have time to fix the manpage (and I still don't).
Getting the software updated has higher priority for me (just for the
record, I am the implementer, upstream, of at least two information
extractors: the vimeo one and the xvideos, with some more to come).
Can you contribute corrected fixes for the manpage? The source from
which I am creating the manpage is quite readable and is at:

If you update it, I will, of course, give you all the credits.

We have two issues here: the first is that the options are not
mentioned in the manpage (there are probably others too). With this,
you can help us (as our time is quite limited).
The other is that the options, don't work as expected. For this, it
would be great if you could file them in the "main" issue tracker at:
https://github.com/rg3/youtube-dl/issues
