I have packaged latest upstream version 2.9.1, cherry pick changes from mentors and fix several build depends, format security hardening flags, ... it now builds fine. As it is a new upstream release, changes shown via debdiff are massive, so I am not sure how would you like to proceed. I can either upload what I have somewhere, so you can have a review, or I can just NMU what I have. Do you have any preference?
