Package: check
Version: 0.9.8-1
Severity: wishlist

Check supports subunit output when the runner is called with
CK_SUBUNIT, but the Debian package is not compiled with subunit
support. Please enable it!

Although, there are a few downsides, namely that it brings in a new
build dependency (libsubunit-dev), and that everything linked to check
will need to be linked to subunit too (but that can be done with a
quick hack to the pkg-config file).

Perhaps a separate package (for example, check-subunit) could be made
that provides a check compiled with subunit support.. But it'd be much
more useful if the stock check package would come with subunit support
built-in.

(And on this note, it would be even better if subunit support could be
selected via CK_VERBOSITY=subunit, if the runner is called with
CK_ENV. But this is a shortcoming present in upstream, and a separate
issue, perhaps.)
