If we go by what it says for stable at: http://release.debian.org/ "Fast response for security updates. Minor updates include security and other important fixes only. Major updates are sourced from testing, and are infrequent, but large." I think the fact pbuilder does not work correctly in squeeze with a patch available qualifies as an important fix and should be released as an update as soon as possible. As a side note. I do use the latest for development and future. But I never release unless it works on stable. Users use and prefer stable software, not a game of tweak/hack with unstable software and hope it works.
