Package: debootstrap
Version: 0.2.45-0.2
Severity: normal

The debootstrap scripts are hard-coded to soft link /usr/sbin/sendmail
to exim (woody) or exim4 (sarge, sid). This breaks custom installs that
exclude exim.

For instance:
I'm responsible for an embedded-ish sarge based system that uses ssmtp.
Debootstrap replaces the sendmail link to ssmtp, which leaves a broken
installation.

Suggested fix:
Move /usr/sbin/sendmail to eg /usr/sbin/sendmail.orig before temporary
link to /bin/true, then move it back instead of re-linking to exim(4).
