Package: cvs
Version: 1:1.12.9-13
Severity: important
Since the upgrade of CVS from version 1.11 - CVSROOT/loginfo no longer
support 't' for passing tag information.
my loginfo:
DEFAULT /usr/local/bin/loginfo [EMAIL PROTECTED] $USER %{sVvt}
the %{sVvt} used to work to pass file name, module, versions and tag
into a script that turned it into an email.
With the upgrade and all the 'UseNewInfoFmtStrings=yes' changes applied
- whether i used %1{sVvt} or %{sVvt} - neither works. Reports that the
't' is not a option in info files. Using %{sVv} does work - but
doesn't not provide the tag information.
Documentation here states it is supported:
http://ximbiot.com/cvs/wiki/index.php?title=CVS--Concurrent_Versions_System_v1.12.12.1:_Reference_manual_for_Administrative_files#Loginfo
But it is not clear there if they mean 't' or 'T' - in any case neither of which
works.
I have to pass the tag into the email to notify developers which files
were modified in which tag.
Is this a bug or a feature that is removed from the current version of
CVS?
Thanks, Alex Pachikov
