Hello, Thanks for the report. famd is known to cause a lot of problems with KDE, so I suspect that this problem you are observing isn't anything really Gwenview specific. See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=252571, for instance, particularly the last post. Presumably disabling famd solves the problem (or installing gamin instead), but what about installing, say, showimg (another KDE image viewer), and browsing the same directory?
