I am interested in what your plans for this package are.
When I upgraded w3c-markup-validator I decided to abandon this package
as it essentially consisted of static files and ignored a potential
upstream feed. So I created w3c-sgml-lib which gets the files from the w3c.
Another issue is that the XML infrastructure has piuparts errors. See
also bugs #575770 and #214061.
Another related package is sgml-data.
Also have you considered joining the Debian XML/SGML group though I
have to warn it is not very lively.
