No, it's not just a cosmetic issue, I fully agree. But it's not
immediate reason for removal, either. And most certainly not in the way
you are attempting.

There's a place for private communication and there's a place for public
communication. OTOH, I don't see a place for your current,
single-handed crusade to get scim and all its packages removed from
Debian when you are at most co-maintainer in the packages. All the
while not even specifically informing the maintainers and co-maintainers
about your intentions and actions.

As maintainer of the main scim package I've already told you numerous
times over the last two months that I have no intentions to let the scim
users who outnumber ibus users 20 to 1 down without good reason. If
that entails joining maintainership for a few more packages, so be it.

I have no motivation to run around after you, having to publicly state
again and again in ever more places that your crusade is dead in the
water. Scim is here to stay, at least for another while, so please
stop! Remove yourself from packages you no longer have an interest to
co-maintain and otherwise please have the courtesy to stop wasting my time.

With kind regards

Rolf
