According to the code and comment, it does check whether surrounding text is supported or not. th-tis820.mim, line 244 > (cond > ;; If surrounding text is supported, commit the only char in preedit. > ((> @-0 -2) > (commit)) I tested th-tis820 and th-kesmanee with gnome-terminal under Debian Squeeze.
