Do you mean that using pbuilder for BUILDPLACE *on a tmpfs* would be faster than cowbuilder? Not being a filesystem expert, I thought that copying is always faster than unarchiving from a compressed archive. I want BUILDPLACE on a tmpfs to save space, also because I usually do not compile big/complex packages. Thx, bye, Gismo / Luca
