Uh, yes, it is enabled during build configuration. For disabling it
the package needs to be recompiled.
However, I gather you don't like it, but is hexedit unusable for you
as it is? I.e., does this warrant "normal" bug severity, or is this
some minor nuisance, or even just a wish?
IMHO it deserves normal severity since colours can't be configured,
making hexedit almost unreadable in my current configuration. I like
colouring, but terminal applications *|*should*|* (note the blinking)
default to colorless configurations to avoid readability problems.
