Wouldn't it be an option to have the distribution set to "snapshot", and the component to, say, "archive" ? So it'd end up like: deb http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20110623T151535Z/ snapshot archive Not as nice as the original proposal, but still useful enough, I believe. And since neither the distribution, nor the components needs any info, it should be fairly straightforward to implement, too. I can even spare an hour or two to create a patch, if the above is deemed acceptable.
