I saw this bug was fixed in #562169, but it seems, this is still an
existsing problem:
# lsof -n | grep 5901
Xvnc4 1174 neszt 3u IPv6 13886440 0t0 TCP
*:5901 (LISTEN)
My main network interface has both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, and there are
other network interfaces.
Hello,
This is not a problem, because you can connect to this socket via using both
IPv4 and IPv6:
$ sudo lsof -n | grep 5901 | grep LISTEN
Xvnc4 4955 rm 3u IPv6 16368 0t0
TCP *:5901 (LISTEN)
$ nc6 -vvv4 localhost 5901
nc6: localhost (127.0.0.1) 5901 [5901] open
nc6: using stream socket
nc6: using buffer size of 8192
nc6: read 12 bytes from remote
RFB 003.008
nc6: wrote 12 bytes to local
$ nc6 -vvv6 localhost 5901
nc6: ip6-localhost (::1) 5901 [5901] open
nc6: using stream socket
nc6: using buffer size of 8192
nc6: read 12 bytes from remote
RFB 003.008
nc6: wrote 12 bytes to local
