Package: debian-edu-config Version: 1.423 Severity: important The default Iceweasel configuration causes high load and IO when a user log in. The problem was reported first at bru...@skolelinux.org, see <URL: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.skolelinux.bruker/9251 > and follow up on <URL: http://lists.debian.org/debian-edu/2011/01/msg00164.html >.
This causes a thin client server and a main-server to become unresponsive when a class room of pupils log into the workstations for the first time. This is an untested patch that should fix it. Changelog: * Disable browser.safebrowsing.malware.enabled and browser.safebrowsing.enabled in Iceweasel, to avoid excessive I/O on the home directory server when several users log in.
