Package: comix
Version: 4.0.4-1
Severity: normal

Dear Comix maintainer,

Comix does not show PBM, PGM or PPM files if they don't have a
comment. This is wrong. Comments are not mandatory according to
pbm(5), pgm(5) and ppm(5) and Netpbm programs like pnmdepth or
pnmflip neither require nor produce any.

Sample PNM files along with the shell script to create them are
available from :

  http://www.teaser.fr/~amajorel/bugs/pnm-comments/

Thanks in advance.

Imagine what would happen if the Debian project disclosed the email
addresses of their users. Spambots would harvest them and Debian
users would be inundated with spam. Good thing they don't, eh ?
