perhaps - I recall some discussion, but it was somewhat after 20110404 (which seems to be what you're packaging). I made some improvements in the area in September based on what I was doing with tctest, and made a fix to a late change in _that_ in November. A related problem that I ran into was limiting ncurses to just the terminal database that I wanted to use for testing. In the current version, I have added options to tic and infocmp to print the list of database locations that they might use. (I have other improvements in mind).
