Before digging into this issue, I'm wondering if the output of help2man
could be a better base to tackle this issue (and improve its output to
match improvements currently brought in the page with the tarman script).
While trying to get the VCS (with “debcheckout tar” or even directly
with “git clone git://git.gag.com/debian/tar”) I got an error:
Cloning into 'tar'...
fatal: unable to connect to git.gag.com:
git.gag.com[0: 192.133.104.149]: errno=Connection refused
Don't know if it's just a temporary issue, but I'd prefer to prepare a
patch against you repository than against your package, in case the
package is not really up to date, and because it's pretty convenient to
work in Git.
