Ah, I see. It does that to change the gnome-settings-daemon configuration. However g-s-d uses GSettings now, not GConf, so this file doesn’t achieve anything anymore. There’s a configuration for g-s-d 3.0 too, so you can just drop the schemas file and add a Breaks: g-s-d << 3.0.
