Package: sshguard Version: 1.5-2~bpo60+1 Severity: normal
-- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: x86_64 GNU/Linux Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-x86_64 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash In /etc/default/sshguard there is the following line: ARGS="-a 4 -p 420 -s 1200" -a 4 seems too low for me, as that means that when trying to login with ssh with an unknown user to the sshguarded host, You will be blocked at the first failed login. Seems to be a little bit harsh to me. The sshguard default value for -a is 40, that means you get blocked only after four failed logins. So maybe it's just a typo, as the other values are sshguard defaults, too. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected]
