Package: libcurl4-nss-dev Version: 7.23.1-3 Severity: normal Heya,
not sure about severity, so feel free to change in any direction :) Neither whether this better belongs to ca-certificates or libnss. Currently, it is not really possible to write code that uses HTTPS sites and link said code against libcurl4-nss-dev. Well, you can write and link, but the resulting binary will just spit out CURLE_SSL_CACERT_BADFILE (77) and die. Yes of course, I can add CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER=0, but then the whole reason why I want to use SSL is gone, as I cannot verify the peer. I have read http://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html and could not find neither a NSSdb nor the compat lib in Debian. Is there any other way to use a binary linked against curl-nss on https sites? Regards Evgeni PS: not sure whether this is also #558283, forgive my incompetence :) -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.1.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libcurl4-nss-dev depends on: ii libc6-dev [libc-dev] 2.13-24 ii libcurl3-nss 7.23.1-3 ii libidn11-dev 1.23-2 ii libkrb5-dev 1.10+dfsg~alpha2-1 ii libldap2-dev 2.4.28-1 ii libnss3-dev 3.13.1.with.ckbi.1.88-1 ii librtmp-dev 2.4+20111222.git4e06e21-1 ii zlib1g-dev 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 libcurl4-nss-dev recommends no packages.
