Hi. /usr/share/davical/htdocs/.htaccess should be moved away, perhaps to /u/s/d/davical/examples or so. It's empty (only comments) anyway and users should not modify it (=> no configuration in /usr). Even symlinking it to /etc makes IMHO no sense, as for /etc and /usr Apache is usually set to AllowOverride none and/or even Deny from all.
