The source contains a copy of this library and uses it without attempting to use the one provided by the system. The corresponding lintian tags are overriden. The request to provide a solution has been reported upstream. Unfotunately they have a slightly modified copy of the library, so it's not very feasible for the Debian package to untangle it nor for upstream to fix it very quickly.
