Sounds like a bug in disk-manager's autostart file. Follow the instructions in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=656384#15 and get us a gnome-session debug log. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
