According to below snippet that automatically was attached to your bug report, the trailing slash is not in /etc/fstab?
Sorry, I've tried different variants of fstab to fix the issue, so that there is no trailing slash in the first line of the attached fstab. But the mount behavior is the same for all of the nfs entries in my fstab.
