Package: zfs-fuse
Version: 0.6.9-1+b1
Severity: normal

zfs-fuse's flushSCSIwc function (defined in src/lib/libzpool.c) issues
an SG_IO ioctl. That's fine when it's working with a whole disk, but
Debian kernels have recently started noisly forbidding SG_IO against
partitions or LVM volumes, even for root, to address CVE-2011-4127.
You can find a detailed explanation of the new restrictions at

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/1232658

Could zfs-fuse please either arrange to retarget SG_IO to whole disks
itself or substitute a different approach altogether?

Thanks!
