I tried to reproduce in a sid amd64 chroot with i386 as foreign arch, and the current buxy/pu/multiarch/full dpkg branch, but I can't. :( Should I set some breakpoints to try and figure out what happens? Or enable some logging/debugging options? Mraw, KiBi.
