I found something interesting: # clean links update-rc.d -f mountvirtfs remove # create links update-rc.d mountvirtfs start 2 S . start 36 S . Adding system startup for /etc/init.d/mountvirtfs ... /etc/rcS.d/S36mountvirtfs -> ../init.d/mountvirtfs It adds only the last for the same runlevel. But the embedded updatercd in /var/lib/dpkg/info/initscripts.postinst does it right. Do you like to fix it? I think it is rarely used that way but it should work.
