Package: synaptic Version: 0.75.4 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
The Update menu item (in the Package menu) and the corresponding shortcut Ctrl+U do not work for me, while the corresponding Update context menu item works. Actually this has been the case for a long time (years), I just never got around to filing a bug for this. I'm running Synaptic under KDE (the version from current Debian testing, but also many versions before while I already had this problem), maybe that is part of the problem, but everything else works as expected! Also note that I have the same problem on Kubuntu (11.10). There's nothing on the console if I start Synaptic from there. If no-one else can reproduce the problem, I'd appreciate pointers toward how I can debug this.
