Please note that debian/compat is deliberately at "9".

See also the bug http://bugs.debian.org/643472 for which "9" is a fix.

The primary goal in sid is to release testing, and debian/compat 9 is
just a preview for debhelper 9 which is expected before wheezy release.
For backporting, debian/compat 8 is fine, of course, but not in sid/testing.

Will probably need to backport (to backports) with debian/compat 8.

Therefore, marking #658330 as "wontfix" now until wheeze is released, in
case others encounter the same issue.
