Package: git Version: 1:1.7.8.3-1 Severity: wishlist
I would like to install git-remote-bzr into /usr/lib/git-core rather than /usr/bin, as it should not be invoked directly by the user. Simply installing to /usr/lib/git-core isn't really possible, because user-built git binaries won't pick up helpers there (see bug 658141 for details). It would be nice if there was some sort of standard location (either a convention or an environment variable set by the user) that git could would always look in for helpers. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers precise-updates APT policy: (500, 'precise-updates'), (500, 'precise-security'), (500, 'precise-proposed'), (500, 'precise'), (100, 'precise-backports') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-11-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages git depends on: ii git-man 1:1.7.8.3-1 ii libc6 2.13-24ubuntu4 ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.22.0-3ubuntu2 ii liberror-perl 0.17-1 ii libexpat1 2.0.1-7.2 ii perl-modules 5.14.2-6ubuntu1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3ubuntu4 Versions of packages git recommends: ii less 444-1ubuntu1 ii openssh-client [ssh-client] 1:5.9p1-2ubuntu1 ii patch 2.6.1-3 ii rsync 3.0.9-1ubuntu1 Versions of packages git suggests: pn git-arch <none> pn git-cvs <none> pn git-daemon-run | git-daemon-sysvinit <none> pn git-doc <none> pn git-el <none> pn git-email 1:1.7.8.3-1 pn git-gui <none> pn git-svn <none> pn gitk <none> pn gitweb <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
