well, the user interface is debconf, so if it is not doing the
 right thing for you, please feel free to bug the interface authors
 for not doing whatever you feel the interface should be doing.

You're right.  It's an improvement to debconf, not your package.


        BTW, a good programmer also understands "abstraction" and
 "modularization" and "separation of UI from underlying code" (aka MVC
 design pattern).

Yes.  Which doesn't make my original statement any less true.
