Right now : not accessible, system is located a fair distance away.  Will post 
later when I can get physical access.  System is offline until then.
Note: all IPs are static in /etc/network/interfaces.  I can't post it because 
system is not currently accessible.

Final lines on ssh log:  (copied by hand)
Disabling interfaces configured with plain DHCP in /etc/network/interfaces so 
that NetworkManager can take them over
