Package: openais Version: 1.1.4-4 Severity: normal Hello,
I noticed that OpenAIS seems discontinued upstream. Their website (openais.org) is currently down. Google's cache of that website mention: > The main developers of this project have decided not to continue further > development of the AIS implementation. > > Instead, we are spending our time maintaining a great roadmap and > maintenance model around Corosync for bare metal clusters. The > developers believe Pacemaker coupled with Corosync do a great job of > providing bare metal high availability. Because Corosync and Pacemaker > are shipped everywhere and are widely deployed, the need for AIS > services is limited. > > I want to offer a sincere Thank You to the thousands of people who have > supported and used our software. With your support, the community was > able to come to conclusion on a great set of software components to > deliver bare metal high availability. As a result of your contributions, > we have created the only viable open source alternative to proprietary > software and made a dent in the Universe. > > Great Work! > > Regards, > > Steven Dake > > openais project maintainer > > The downloads and repository will be kept available for historical > purposes. Here they are... ftp://ftp.openais.org/ > We also continue to maintain the whitetank and Wilson branches > in limited fashion for a few more years. There seems to have some activity: svn info http://svn.fedorahosted.org/svn/openais/ | grep Date Last Changed Date: 2011-11-16 13:47:28 +0100 (Wed, 16 Nov 2011) It might be worth to mention the package deprecation in the pacakge Description.
